1 Hour

I have one hour before Christmas break officially starts. I should madly working on my Christmas to do list but instead I decide to decompress by blogging. I feel like not much was accomplished this week. Reese is still not herself which I am praying is from not feeling good/taking a ton of meds as opposed to it being the new norm of her two year old self. She is a one grouchy girl! Caden is sick today and he is not alone 10 kids out of 22 were gone this morning from his class as well as the classroom aid. As I left, another little girl was saying she was sick and that she threw up last night and then a mom I walked out with said her daughter had thrown up last night too but she thought it was from eating junk.

I did get my handmade cards done this week and they are in the mailbox.

I cut back on my list and only made 40. I used to send 75. That was crazy and time consuming and expensive.
Photobucket
I like making them when there's 40, not when there's 75. Check your mailbox to see if you made the cut!

I also made homemade gingerbread cookies.

The dough tastes better than the cookies.

We plan on baking some treats for our neighbor gifts this weekend.

I got the preschool photos taken, printed, picked up, and came up with an idea for their art project.

We got them done and I was able to attend the little Christmas party they had.

They had fun singing jingle bells,

watching a movie, and

exchanging gifts.

Hopefully there will be no sick kids so Aaron and I get to go Christmas shopping as planned tomorrow and then attend his work's Christmas party. We have no time left to do our shopping and I need time away from the kiddos this weekend before we are together day and night next week with the excitement of Christmas running strongly through their bodies. I have crafts planned for next week for them to help keep the TV off. I'm sure by the time Christmas arrives I will be down on my knees praying for more time to finish (or start) many of my gifts ...

"do people take rain checks for Christmas gifts?"

My answer: I can only hope so! I finished 3 projects today and have 2 on the verge of being done. I also finished another one earlier this week.

I really need to be focusing on the ones that need to be done by Christmas Eve. Wouldn't that make sense? Unfortunately those are the ones that I haven't even started yet!!! I have 3 of them to do!!!!! Ouchy!

I'm planning on an all nighter tonight.
